While hiking the RIdgeline Trail (blog post), there seemed to be three different optics to the fog and mists swirling through and filling the valleys.
There were the mists that swirled thinly, thickly, coming and going as the winds blew
From the higher points on the trail, one can look out and over the fog and mists to the spine of the cascades
Finally, pockets of views where one looks down into the fog
And sometimes, the sun just blast it all away
